Installing a Bar and Swimming Pool in a City Center Hotel in Liverpool

The property is situated close to the M54, M6 and M6 toll resulting in great access to Birmingham, Manchester and Birmingham Airport. The Whitehouse is 8 minutes to the closest train station Bloxwich North, which allows easy access to Birmingham New Street.

INDUSTRIAL

Broadway carried out repair and maintenance work on the roof of a hotel in both Manchester and Liverpool city centres. Access to the roof top was restricted and the road had to be closed and managed with road signs. This allowed our team to inspect and carry out work using a cherry picker. Preparation was extremely important in these projects.

The hotels needed roof and side tiles fixing after strong winds had damaged the outside of the building, causing problems that had to be fixed immediately. Broadway stepped in swiftly and effectively to restore the building back to its original condition. Planning, road management and safety had to all be closely considered before any work was carried out. Broadways 45 years’ worth of experience allowed the repairs to be completed quickly and safely.

The Whitehouse was originally build in the 1970's but has now been redeveloped, keeping some of the features from the old building. The Whitehouse has been redesigned with the highest standard of insulation to provide an extremely energy efficiency house. It has a large open kitchen and lounge with a decked area off the kitchen. The downstairs also contains a garage and utility room with a spacious garden. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, of which 3 have ensuite bathrooms.

Foundations 

City Center Hotel Repairs

Our job was to install a new set of concrete foundations for Dunlop as they were looking to expand their factory. Broadway was careful to complete the work whilst not disturbing any of the factory's productivity. There was extremely restricted access to the site and Broadway continuously liaised with the floor managers to prevent disruption. The site was enclosed with protective screening to stop dust and debris from spreading to other parts of the factory.

Broadway firstly had to dig out the foundations, breaking through the previous concrete floor and removing all the soil. Due to excavation work water started draining into the lowest trench causing unforeseen difficulties. However pumping systems were quickly installed to drain away any water. Next the complex concrete moulds were formed, incorporating steel bars to add reinforcements. The concrete had to match perfectly with the base of the machines in order for the installation to be successful. Broadway successfully installed complex concrete foundations without disturbing the factory's productivity and solving issues that arose swiftly and effectivity.

Wolverhampton Cricket Club came to us in the winter of 2007 wanting a new pavilion ready for the start of next cricket season the following summer. Working to a strict budget and time schedule Broadway were able to successfully complete the Pavilion in time for the first match of the season. Features of the new pavilion include a bar/restuarant area fitted with TV screens for entertainment. A kitchen, multi purpose conference area, glass front giving excellent views of the first team pitch as well as lodging for the grounds keeper. The large south facing windows and high insulation provide a building which is highly energy efficient, practical and very aesthetically pleasing.

Broadway Construction completed the reconstruction of a Bar, swimming pool and gym room in a city center hotel in Liverpool. Access to both the Bar and swimming pool were extremely restricted as the hotel had to remain open to the public. Also the swimming pool and gym area was down in the basement which meant that access to it was very limited. However Broadway worked closely with the hotel to overcome these problems to successfully complete the work. The project needed to be completed as soon as possible to allow the hotel to return to normal operations.
